The philosophy of the Town of Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department’s A Room to Grow preschool at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center encourages three, four and five year olds to have a well-rounded educational and social experience. This is achieved by providing meaningful experiences that develop your child’s cognitive, social, gross and fine motor skills with age appropriate activities. We offer four programs:
Preschool for Younger 3's (3 year olds)
Preschool for Older 3's (3 1/2 - 4 year olds)
Preschool for Younger 4's (4 year olds)
Preschool for Older 4's (4 1/2 - 5 year olds)
The three-year-old programs have a 1:8 teacher-student ratio with a maximum of 16 children per class; the four-year old programs have a 1:10 teacher-student ratio with a maximum of 20 children per class.
A Room to Grow preschool is licensed by the State of Virginia Department of Social Services.
A Room to Grow preschool provides a positive and caring environment which will nurture the growth, development and socialization of your child through our curriculum. All classes are taught by Heidi Fellows and Erica Dobscha.
The program begins the week after Loudoun County Public School's first day and runs for 36 weeks. Our current school year calendar follows the Loudoun County school calendar for holidays, teacher workdays and inclement weather closings and delays. All children must be fully potty trained and wearing underwear to attend our programs. “Pull-ups” are not allowed.
*SWIM LESSIONS AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN IN THE FOUR-YEAR OLD CLASSES
28, 1/2 hour swim lessons are offered for an additional fee as part of our preschool program. Swim lessons take place on Wednesdays. The preschool class will end at 11:00am or 2:45pm if a child does not participate in the swim lesson.
Registration information for the 2013-2014 school year is listed below. Children must turn 3 or 4 by September 30, 2013 to be eligible for the programs. Tuition fees for the 2013-2014 school year are listed with the program information. Monthly and trimester tuition payment plans are available.
The 2013-2014 school year will start on September 9, 2013 and end on May 30, 2014.

Registration Fee: $75 for all classes
Registration fee will not be refunded if you are accepted and drop out of the program before the start of school or anytime after the school year begins. The registration fee will be refundable if you are placed on the waitlist and remove your name from the waitlist prior to April 15, 2013 for the 2013-2014 school year. No refunds will be given after this date.
